You might have noticed in the list above that all the industries deal with the processing of liquid chemicals, therefore there is the opportunity for leakds to occur and those leaks could damage the environment. An LDAR programme measures the gases that emerge when leaking liquids flash into gases or when leaking liquids. Following on from an existing LDAR, Leak Detection Monitoring (LDM) is the execution of the planned monitoring for leaks on the plant with a hand held VOC analyser, conducted as per US EPA 21.
